Who We Are

Superchicks is a 100% black owned, 21% female and 17% youth broiler hatchery that is situated in Tierpoort, Tshwane, Gauteng and services all broiler farmers within a delivery radius of 500 km from the hatchery.

The hatchery is in an area that is easily accessible to major regional and national roads.

Capacity Building / Supportive Culture

The existing staff including the owner are trained in poultry and hatchery management; and have more than 25 years collective experience in a hatchery management environment. Most of the staff acquired the requisite knowledge, skills and expertise whilst employed at major vertically integrated poultry producers.

The staff are experienced in operational and technical matters which ranges from general hatchery management, egg handling and quality assessment, egg setting and breakout, transfer and hatching, chick grading, biosecurity and transportation among others.

Chief Executive Officer

KP Matshidze

CEO & CO-FOUNDER

Mr. KP Matshidze is the CEO of Superchicks Hatchery and has five years of experience managing and operating a broiler poultry hatchery and is trained in Poultry Hatchery Management. In addition, he also has an MBA qualification. He has served at an executive level and as a board member in public and private institutions for over 20 years. Mr Matshidze is industrious and, together with his team, has consistently grown SuperChick's customer base over the past five years. Superchicks customers value consistency, quality, and regularity of supply of day-old chicks (DOCs), as well as after-sales support. Superchicks have become a preferred hatchery for broiler farmers, integrators, and distributors.
